Join Veterans For Peace, Pax Christi, and Peace Action on April 15th, Tax Day, to educate regional taxpayers about where their tax dollars are spent—much of it not for the improvement of humanity.
This action will be the first triple action in one day in our impacted war industry region of northeastern Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York. We will expose three merchants of death on Tax Day, 2024.
We will start in downtown Scranton at the General Dynamics 155mm factory, on to Archbald (12-mile drive) for what we believe is the first-ever nonviolent action at the factory that produces Paveway bombs that have murdered thousands of Gaza civilians, then to BAE Systems in Endicott where the mobile canons (Howitizers) for the 155mm shells (made in Scranton) are designed and made on North St, Endicott. The most wanted ammunition of Israel and Ukraine is the 155mm that blows people and structures to pieces.
Each of these companies is violating US and international law. We will deliver an 11-page document (letter) outlining the six laws being broken by General Dynamics, Lockheed-Martin, and BAE.
Obviously, aside from breaking US and International law, the moral issue of each of the three slaughterhouses is shocking!
Please take water and snacks. This will be a day to educate the public. Us, Pennsylvania and NY folks, need to learn more about militarism’s impact on our region.
