SUMMARY:Weekly Peace Witness: Demonstration outside the gates of Menwith Hill
DESCRIPTION:The Menwith Hill Accountability Campaign holds regular peace witness events at the Nessfield Gate of RAF Menwith Hill. Menwith Hill is a large surveillance base situated outside Harrogate\, North Yorkshire\, England. The base is run by the US organisations called NSA and NRO. There is surveillance of electronic communications and from satellites with linkage to the 5 Eyes network. More information available on the website https://themhac.uk \nThe weekly Tuesday evening witness is peaceful and designed to make those entering of leaving the base that there are significant problems with unaccountable military surveillance that is used to target and kill people. \nThis demonstration has been going almost every week since July 2000. Menwith Hill is on the A59 Harrogate to Skipton road) and nine miles from Harrogate North Yorkshire. Wear some warm waterproof clothing and bring a high viz vest to keep you warm\, dry and safe during the protest. \nLifts from Leeds can be arranged with a little advance notice\, just phone +44 7760311406 \nEach person present strengthens the witness.
