Suzy Kim, professor of Korean history at Rutgers University, will provide a historical account of how North Korean and international women intervened during the Korean War. Na-Young Lee, professor at Chung-Ang University and Chair of the Board at the Korean Council for the Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan, will discuss the impact of the ongoing war on South Korean women, including militarized sexual violence, and efforts underway to hold the South Korean government and U.S. military accountable.
