Vigil and Art: Lanterns for Peace for Hiroshima and Nagasaki Commemoration

6 pm- Gather at Zao Church, 2319 E. Kenwood Blvd,  Milwaukee, WI for Japanese Lantern Making, Origami peace cranes, refreshments.

7 pm- Commemorative Program – Reflections on Atomic Bombings by Julie Enslow; Quotes from Hibakusha (survivors); Thoughts on Peace and Disarmament by Cameron Malakai, Pastor at Zao Church; Music by Jess Devitt and James X.

8 pm-  Procession to Lantern Vigil along Lincoln Memorial Dr., near Bradford Beach until 9 pm.  (Walk, bike or carpool to Bradford Beach from Zao Church.)
