Teach-In for Peace

Local community organizer and activist Margie Parker led the Peace Coalition for Southern Illinois for more than 20 years. After her death, the Peace Coalition initiated a Teach-In for Peace as a tribute to Margie’s commitment to seek peace and justice.
The event is set for Thursday, April 18 at Guyon Auditorium, Morris Library is set to begin at 6 p.m. with a social hour catered by Cristaudo’s Café, and Bakery and tabling with co-sponsors. Board President of World BEYOND War, Kathy Kelly will have a presentation at 7 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
