If you are wondering why more members of Congress aren’t calling for a ceasefire — even though a ceasefire is the overwhelming demand from their constituents — look no further than AIPAC. AIPAC and other pro-apartheid lobby groups use money and racist bullying to ensure Congressional complicity in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. Over 200 members of Congress took money from AIPAC in 2023 — 197 in November alone.
For four months, hundreds of thousands of people have mobilized on Capitol Hill, at Congressional offices, at train stations and on highways demanding our political leaders stop the genocide. And yet, most members of Congress still refuse to call for a ceasefire. As the number of Palestinians murdered by the Israeli military in Gaza surpasses 27,000, it’s time to tell the world why our government is not listening to the will of the people. That means exposing AIPAC as the extremist and warmongering lobby group it’s always been.
