As we mark the 81 years since Hiroshima & Nagasaki, some of us remembering a film about a man named Oppenheimer which magically showed none of the destruction of the bombs that were dropped.
We pause to remember that Philadelphia is a part of the Mayors for peace program. One of the early adapters, we joined soon after it was formed by Japanese mayors.
It is truly a good time to divest from nuclear weapons invested in our city’s workers pension funds.
