This summer, as we mark the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, many citizens from overseas and across Japan will gather in Hiroshima, the site of the bombing.
On the evening of August 5—the day before the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima—let’s take action from Hiroshima to call for the abolition of nuclear weapons and for Japan to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. We are calling for a flashlight vigil (standing protest) that anyone can join.
Please feel free to bring light sticks, message boards, atomic bomb panels, or anything else you’d like.
Gather at 19:45 at Aioi Bridge, the aiming point for the 1945 Hiroshima atom bomb.

広島・長崎の原爆投下から81年を迎える今夏、海外から、日本全国から被爆地広島に、多くの市民が集います。 この機会に、広島に原爆が投下された８月６日の前日、５日夜に被爆地広島から、核兵器廃絶と核兵器禁止条約への日本の参加を求めて行動しましょう。誰でも参加できるペンライト行動（スタンディング）をよびかけます。 ペンライト、メッセージボード、原爆パネルなどご自由にお持ちください。
