The fundraiser is organized by a coalition of Muslims, Jews, Christians, and other community members to spread awareness and raise money for the Palestinian Red Crescent. The Palestinian Red Crescent is part of the International Red Cross and is one of the few humanitarian organizations currently providing aid in Gaza.
The fundraiser will feature an informational gallery on the conflict, dinner, and a presentation by Mariam El-Khatib. Mariam El-Khatib is a Palestinian-American who was born and raised in Minnesota. She is a Product Manager at LaunchGood and a volunteer member of the Minnesota chapter of American Muslims for Palestine, where she was previously the chapter lead.
