An Evening for Peace in Ukraine
Sunday, November 12, 6:00-9:00 pm
The Crossing on UW-Madison campus (1127 University Ave)
Hosted by Madison for a World BEYOND War
World BEYOND War’s international director David Swanson will be part of a panel discussion with UW-Madison professor of community & environmental sociology Samer Alatout and UW-Madison professor of political science Andrew Kydd. The topic: “What should be done to end the war in Ukraine?” Experts speak about where they see this war going. How will it end? When will it end?
The evening will include a pro-peace arts showcase with music, poetry, and art on the theme, “Peace Through Empathy.” We will also watch a bit of the livestreamed Merchants of Death War Crimes Tribunal. This free event is a sliding scale fundraiser for stipends for new WBW student interns. The suggested donation is $1 – $1000. This event is co-sponsored by Madison for a World BEYOND War, Madison Veterans for Peace, The Crossing Campus Ministry, Pres House Apartments, Madison Friends Meeting (Quakers) and Madison Mennonite Church.
