You are invited to the first Mobilizing Call for the First Annual Global Week of Action for Peace and Climate Justice 2024: Divest From War, Invest in Climate Justice! The Week of Action will take place from September 21-28th. Here is what we would like to accomplish during this call in preparation for it:
- We will unite our causes to bridge the divide between peace movements and climate justice activists.
- We will summarize why this Week of Action is so important as we face this global crisis.
- We invite you to share your thoughts on the Week of Action and how you envision your involvement.
- We will give you access to resources to help you get involved.
- We will talk about ways to keep in touch and stay connected.
- We will introduce our toolkit for helping you and your network organize actions.
We know that there are plenty of ways to approach today’s social and ecological crises that can both protect ourselves and the planet. It is vital that movements for peace and climate justice work together for a world that values the safety and wellbeing of everyone; foregrounding people and the planet over power and profit!
