Join us for a full hour presentation with questions and discussion about the history and legacy of Uranium mining on Diné/Navajo Land in New Mexico from the 1940s in preparation for the building of the Atomic Bomb to the present opening of mining in the Grand Canyon Arizona land- traditional lands of the Havasupai, Diné, Hopi, Pueblo and other tribes. Tribal members will shed light on the increase of nuclear weapons and the misinformation that nuclear power is a “green alternative” for fossil fuels.
